Tedizolid phosphate is a newly launched oxazolidinone antibiotic. Tedizolid phosphate is mainly used to treat various bacterial infections caused by Gram-positive bacteria.
Tedizolid phosphate mainly treats infections caused by Gram-positive bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus anginosus group (including Streptococcus anginosus, Streptococcus intermedius, Streptococcus agalactiae) and Enterococcus faecalis. Tedizolid phosphate is a prodrug of tedizolid, which is converted into tedizolid by phosphatase after oral and intravenous administration. Tedizolid binds to the 50s subunit of the bacterial ribosome, inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, exerts antibacterial effects, and is not prone to cross-resistance with other antibiotics. Compared with linezolid, tedizolid has significantly reduced adverse reactions in gastrointestinal absorption and thrombocytopenia. The incidence of drug resistance is lower. Because the adverse reactions are small, there is no need to adjust the dose according to factors such as renal function, liver function, age, and gender.
