Cefoxitin sodium salt Injection

Effects and efficacy:
Applicable to the following infections caused by bacteria sensitive to this product: upper and lower respiratory tract infections. Urinary tract infections, including uncomplicated gonorrhea. Peritonitis and other intra-abdominal and pelvic infections. Sepsis (including typhoid fever). Gynecological infections. Bone, joint and soft tissue infections. Endocarditis. Since this product is effective against anaerobic bacteria and stable against β-lactamase, it is particularly suitable for mixed infections of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, as well as infections caused by bacteria that produce β-lactamase and are sensitive to this product.
Usage and Dosage:
Dosage: Intramuscular injection, intravenous injection or intravenous drip. The usual dose for adults is 1-2g/time, once every 6-8 hours. Or adjust the dose according to the sensitivity of the pathogen and the condition of the disease: simple infection (pneumonia, urinary tract infection, skin infection): 3-4g, 1g every 6-8 hours, intramuscular injection or intravenous drip; moderate and severe infection: 6-8g, 1g every 4 hours or 2g intravenous drip every 6-8 hours; infection requiring large doses of antibiotics (such as gas gangrene): 12g, 2g every 4 hours or 3g intravenous drip every 6 hours; patients with renal insufficiency need to adjust the dose according to creatinine clearance: mild damage, creatinine clearance 50-30ml/min, 1-2g, once every 8-12 hours; moderate damage, creatinine clearance 29-10ml/min, 1-2g, once every 12-24 hours; severe damage, creatinine clearance 9-5ml/min, 0.5-1.0g, once every 12-24 hours; renal failure, creatinine clearance <5ml/min, 0.5-1.0g, once every 24-48 hours. Children’s medication should not be used for infants under 3 months old; for children over 3 months old, take 12.5-25mg/kg each time, once every 6 hours or 20mg-40mg/kg each time, once every 8 hours. For perioperative infection prevention and cesarean section umbilical cord clamping, 2g is injected intravenously, and an additional dose is given 4 hours and 8 hours later. For other surgical operations, 2g is injected intravenously 1-1.5 hours before the operation, and then within 24 hours, the medication is taken once every 6 hours, 1g each time. Dosage This product is used for intramuscular injection, and each gram is dissolved in 2ml of 0.5% lidocaine hydrochloride. For intravenous injection, each gram is dissolved in 10ml of sterile water for injection. For intravenous drip, 1-2g of cefoxitin sodium is dissolved in 50ml or 100ml of 0.9% sodium chloride injection or 5% or 10% glucose solution. The same drugs produced by different manufacturers may have inconsistent instructions.
