Effects:
Congestive heart failure after acute myocardial infarction; antihypertensive.
Dosage and Administration:
For congestive heart failure after acute myocardial infarction: The recommended dose is 50 mg once daily. The initial dose should be 25 mg once daily, and the dose can be gradually increased to 50 mg once daily over four weeks as tolerated. For antihypertensive use: Eplerenone can be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive medications. The recommended initial dose for monotherapy is 50 mg once daily. A significant hypotensive effect should be observed within four weeks. If this effect is not evident, the dose can be increased to 50 mg twice daily. Higher doses are not recommended and may increase the risk of adverse reactions such as hyperkalemia. Contraindications:
Contraindicated if allergic to this product. Contraindicated during pregnancy.
